Van Pools
Salt Lake County currently leases 12-passenger vans serving Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah and Weber Counties. In 2010 approximately 126,063 personal drive miles were saved by the employees who participated in the vanpool program. Participation in this program includes:
- A monthly cost provided through payroll deduction;
- Pick up at designated locations;
- Priority parking spaces;
- Possible reduced insurance rates on your personal vehicle;
- 60% of cost subsidized by Salt Lake county;
- A week’s free ride for interested employees
For more information in joining or starting a van pool call (385) 468-7070 or receive a copy of the Transit Deduction Form. Please obtain a copy of Countywide policy #1029 regarding van pools. Fill out a Ride Share Agreement Form.
